Help If You Can’t Live at Home After Hurricane Helene

If Hurricane Helene made your home unsafe, FEMA may help with housing, repairs, or relocation. Learn how to apply and what support you may qualify for.

If your home is damaged by Tropical Storm Helene and you can’t live there, FEMA may help. You might get Displacement Assistance, a one-time payment for housing needs. If you still need a place to stay, you can ask for Rental Assistance to help pay for rent and utilities. This can cover up to two months at first. If you need more time, you must show proof, like receipts and a repair plan, to get Continued Rental Assistance. Stay in touch with FEMA by calling 800-621-3362 or visiting a Disaster Recovery Center for help.
