To apply, you must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or qualified immigrant. Applications must be submitted within 60 days of a disaster declaration. You can apply online, by phone, or in person. Keep all FEMA paperwork, take pictures of damage, and save receipts for repairs. If your application is denied, you have 60 days to appeal.
